What to do with undelivered mail
Postal items that do not reach their intended recipient for a variety of reasons, including inaccurate addresses, insufficient postage, recipient unavailability, or postal service interruptions, are referred to as undelivered mail. These goods can be deemed undeliverable, kept at a post office, or sent back to the sender. Undeliverable mail may occasionally be sent to a mail recovery facility, disposed of, or forwarded.
