Mebendazole is a broad-spectrum anthelmintic medication used to treat intestinal worm infections such as roundworm, hookworm, whipworm, and pinworm. It works by inhibiting microtubule synthesis in parasites, blocking glucose uptake and leading to worm death. It is typically administered orally and is generally well tolerated.
