Upgrading an Existing Line? Where the DF-12 Fits
Not every double backer installation starts from a blank slate — plenty of corrugator upgrades involve swapping out an aging double backer station on a line that's otherwise running well, and the DF-12 is built to fit that scenario as easily as a new build. As a wet-end component, it's installed downstream of the single facer and glue unit, taking the pre-glued single-face web and bonding the second liner under controlled heat and pressure before the board continues to slitting, scoring, and cut-off. With heating plate counts configurable from 12 up to 22 depending on line length, the DF-12 can be specified to match an existing line's footprint rather than forcing a full redesign. That flexibility, combined with standard hydraulic weight-roller control and automatic canvas tracking, makes it a practical fit across a range of scenarios — new corrugated line builds, double backer retrofits, general packaging board plants, and heavy-duty or triple-wall operations where bonding consistency matters most.
