A Grade A fireproof board is typically composed of non-combustible core materials (magnesium oxide, calcium silicate, gypsum with fiberglass reinforcement, or cement) faced with fire-resistant surfaces. Unlike ordinary plywood, MDF, or standard drywall, these boards will not ignite, feed a flame, or release toxic smoke when exposed to fire.
