The moment we are writing this, Sports has not confirmed crossplay as a feature in Madden 23. but there is a chance that it may happen. The most encouraging piece in the picture is the fact that FIFA 22 finally brought crossplay to the franchise, even though as a feature, it was exclusively available to Xbox Series X|S and PS5 players.
If crossplay becomes a feature of Madden 23 we're likely to witness a similar split since they've revamped the engine that plays on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S while players from previous generations continue to play the old version. The next day, they reported that EA was trying to negotiate a partnership agreement for crossplay, most likely with Sony and Microsoft but they weren't able to confirm whether it was planned ahead of Madden 23 or a future release.
