What keeps me returning to RuneScape is how it feels like a living organism

It's interesting to consider the different playstyles I've indulged throughout my career; from working through bosses runs, to running in a clan of roleplayers to learning hours of techniques so I could complete an objective.

Now I prefer to play slowlyand avoid using anything that can increase the amount of XP that I earn so I can fully enjoy the long journey to levelling up . I read a lot while doing this, and it's very soothing to listen to the clink of my pickaxe or mattock as background music.

What keeps me returning to RuneScape is how it feels like a living organism; constantly changing with new challenges and new locations. It is the skill of the interwoven tapestries, which tie the different gameplay aspects together, and allow me to move from making runestones to finding dinosaurs. My favorite game is Archaeology, because of how it combines lore-based exploration with excellent skill progression.

On the subject of RuneScape the lore, don't forget the questlines. Here , I've witnessed gothic terror epic fantasy, as well as one man's dream of baking a cake. I'll never forget how many hours they spent inside the Temple of Light, even as I'm sometimes wishing I could. And then there's Old School RuneScape through which I can go back in time to the first game I found myself in love with.

I've stopped for breaks, usually when I'm absorbed in an exciting game from RuneScape throughout the years. The longest break was during the time that Evolution of Combat (also known as EoC) was released - the abilities and action bars were at war with the RuneScape section of my brain.

RuneScape However, it always discovers a way to catch me. This time I was snared by the Legacy Combat Mode, which has brought back the tick-based fighting that was the norm in. EoC and I are in quite a rocky relationship; mostly due to reluctance from my side, but I'm trying. Rarely.

My diaries also contain information about my latest RuneScape achievements, especially when I get a new leveling pet however, it is necessary to share the space with little meditations on the Indie game I've tried and the rants about my lack of Log Stool DIY recipes in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. I'm working on my list of things I'd love to accomplish in RuneScape in the next year.

It would be nice to develop my Dungeoneering ability (unlikely) and also rework my money pit of a home with . Maybe I'll finish this Salt in the Wound quest at one point I wanted to do this quest until a friend of mine told me about one particular pillar, if you know, you know. Since then I've never had the motivation to complete it, but maybe 2022 will be the year.
