The maximum number of players that can participate in online co-op parties in Diablo 2: Resurrected is eight. Players have the option of choosing between public and private lobbies, which enables matchmaking with people they have never met before as well as playing only with their friends. Co-op parties in 2 can only be made up of players who are on the same platform as one another because the game does not currently support crossplay (although Blizzard may decide to add crossplay to 2 at some point in the future). Players on one platform are unable to interact with one another on another platform, but they are able to temporarily transfer their profile to another system, which enables them to play on that platform with their saved characters and game data. The only thing that players need to do is check to make sure that their Blizzard Battle. net account is linked to any platform on which they own Diablo 2: Resurrected.
