In order to perform regular maintenance on the grease gun to extend its service life, the following measures can be taken:
1. Daily inspection and maintenance
Check parts: Before each use, check whether the valve spring, steel ball and other parts are missing, whether the piston and oil gun head are in good sealing condition, and ensure the normal squeezing effect.
Butter quality: Make sure that the butter used is not deteriorated and uncontaminated, and avoid using butter containing mud, sand and debris to prevent clogging the oil channel or affecting the lubrication effect.
2. Standard operation
Correct alignment: When filling oil, ensure that the oil filling nozzle at the front end of the oil filling rod is aligned with the grease nozzle, and the inclination shall not exceed 8° to improve the oil filling efficiency and reduce wear.
Pressure control: Select the appropriate grease gun pressure to avoid insufficient pressure causing the grease to fail to be injected or excessive pressure damaging the equipment.
3. Regular cleaning and maintenance
Cleaning the grease gun: After each use, clean the grease and impurities on the surface of the grease gun in time to prevent mud and sand from entering. If it is not used for a long time, the lubricating grease in the grease gun should be squeezed out, and the inside and outside of the barrel should be cleaned and placed in an appropriate position to avoid deformation under pressure.
Replace wearing parts: Regularly check and replace wearing parts such as leather cups and springs that are severely worn to keep the grease gun in good working condition.
4. Storage and protection
Proper storage: Store the grease gun in a dry, ventilated environment without corrosive gases, avoiding direct sunlight and rain.
Avoid knocking: Do not use the grease gun as a hammer to knock other objects to prevent damage or deformation.
The above measures can effectively extend the service life of the grease gun, improve work efficiency and equipment maintenance quality.
